“Kundalini is the serpent of divine feminine energy: said to sleep coiled 3.5 times around herself at the base of the human spine. When she awakens, Kundalini unfurls upwardly along the chakra system to ultimately pierce the crown of the head and result in a spiritual awakening. Kundalini is generally depicted as black; the chakras are commonly known to each hold one colour of the prismatic spectrum. These paintings depict Kundalini as a rainbow snake, released from the human form to play in space, while holding within herself all the colours of enlightenment.”
