Special Solstice Workshop ~ "Ceramics For Ritual & Ceremony" June 21st - CLOSED

Celebrate the Summer Solstice, when the Earth's tilt will bring NM as close to the Sun as it will be all year, by hand-forming a ceramic vessel to use for ceremony and ritual. The powerful energy of the Solstice (expansion, light, growth, action) will naturally be infused into the vessel you will create.

This workshop is open to all experience levels, technical guidance will be provided where necessary and suggestions for how to use the vessels will also be offered.
.
The pieces that are created out of clay will be fired into ceramic after they are dry. The firing day will be open to participants but not required. After the pieces are fired, they will be available for pickup at the studio or they can be shipped to folks from out of town.

Julie Ann Travis is an Atlanta native whose current passion is creating community through art and ceremony. She has received her MFA from California College of the Arts and is greatly inspired by many ancient forms of art and healing. ~Julie has cultivated a deep reverence for the treasures and beauty of our Mother Earth by crafting vessels with primitive clay bodies and facilitating sacred ceremonies as a Shamanic Practitioner.

Georgia Carbone is a Santa Fe based artist who engages sacred and contemporary art techniques and practices. She studied with world renowned artists on 3 continents culminating with a Master's in Fine Art from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Her work specializes in the healing power of art and creativity. She is the founder of GEORGI∆ ELECTR∆ Sacred Arts Studio & ELECTR∆ Gallery.
