New Mexico Wildflowers & Materia Medica ~ 6 Week Class ~ Saturdays, 7/13 - 8/17

A Materia Medica is a book recording the healing properties of various plants. Historically these books are hand-written and beautifully illustrated with watercolor and ink. In this class, we will make our own book of herbal remedies, focusing on the plants that are growing naturally around us.

Each week we will learn about a New Mexico wildflower or herb that is growing. We'll develop watercolor painting and drawing skills while learning about the healing properties of each plant we examine and creating our own resource for future reference.

This class is a must for herbalists, watercolorists, and nature-lovers!
