Sometimes the world can seem very dark around us. It can be frightening to face the darkness in our own lives and in society. Sometimes it can be depressing and feel like a weight or a pressure on our bodies and spirits. However, if we have the courage to face the darkness, and see it for what it is, then we are safe and our position is outside of it, in the light of consciousness.
