Learn how to create sea creatures like coral, sea sponges and anemones using basic circular crochet techniques. Experiment with materials not usually used for crochet and get a taste of multimedia artist Eden Radfarr's approach to creating free-form crochet soft sculptures. This workshop is suitable for beginners or for someone who wants to try a more unorthodox experimental approach to crochet. You are welcome to bring old t-shirts, pillowcases etc. to cut up and use for crochet.

Eden Radfarr is a multimedia artist and arts educator with a background in youth leadership development and community organizing. Her work spans video art, sculpture, assemblage, soundscape, design, ber arts, ceramics, physical computing, installation and performance. She is happiest when she can bring together disparate materials and media to create dynamic immersive experiences.

She is a founding member of S.E.M. collective and a designer at FZN Studio. She holds a MFA in Studio Art from University of New Mexico, a BA in Film Production from Portland State University and has shown her work at the Portland Underground Film Festival (Oregon), Experiments in Cinema, 516 Arts, and 5G Gallery in Albuquerque, NM, the University of Central Missouri Gallery of Art & Design and other community spaces. She is currently a Lecturer in Film & Digital Media at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque
