Come learn this traditional New Mexico Folk Art from Georgia Carbone, as it was taught to her by 40-year-retablo-painter, Theresa Vigil Montoya of Chimayo. Make a beautiful symbolic painting on wood to give as a gift or hang on the wall.

Paint St. Valentine, the Winged Heart, Flaming Heart, Virgin of Guadalupe...or another saint or symbol that resonates with you. Retablos are painted to invoke the special powers of that particular saint or symbol, in the case of St. Valentine, he is the patron saint of lovers and engaged couples, and beekeepers!

Instruction, Materials, and Snacks will be provided.
