"'Traum,' German for 'dream', tells a story about longing and the desire
to be with someone regardless of the distance and time in between. Despite the colorful arrangement of the rainbow, the dichotomy of love and despair can coincide in existence, with the rainbow representing light and love but no matter how much a
person pursues it endlessly, they may never reach the end of the rainbow." ~ Melanie Faye
Artist Bio
Born among the rolling hills of Germany, Melanie is now an inhabitant of the Southwest, having fallen in love with the mountains and candy-colored sunsets.
Melanie is a storyteller at heart.
.
Between her love of watching indie films, performing on stage, filmmaking, or exploring her inner life by gluing tiny words onto photographs, Melanie is a firm believer that stories carry emotional weight and reveal hidden truths about ourselves.
.
Melanie’s work has recently been published in Wild Roof Journal. When Melanie isn’t story making you can always find her cuddled with a good book, rocking out at a punk show, or planning world domination with her two cats Rosemary and Basil.
